Do You remember?

Tue Sep 15, 2009, 8:09 AM
Do you remember my textile peice? I uploaded it a little while ago after spending forever working on it. Well whether you remember it or not, it's going to be exhibited again! I know that very few of you will know the places that I'm talking about and hardly any of you will be able to go and see but I will try and get photo's so that you can have a little look. It'll be displayed at Woodhorn Museum, which is where the whole thing started out a year ago n_n and in January it will be at Alnwick garden, the back yard of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. I'm dead excited!

Now then, life in general. I am currently obsessed with making lists. Lists like, things to buy before I move away, things I want to take away with me, things that I would consider neccessities, things that I need to do to improve my artwork...then there is the all important Christmas list. Now for children this is a list of things that you would like to receive but as I've grown older it's become a list of things that I would like to give. This year I want to start good and early. Not to beat the Christmas rush but because I want to give everyone something handmade, something that I have put a little of myself into.

Handmade gifts are always the best, wish I could do more than drawings. XD the most I could pull off is a couple cards.
Congrats on your piece being exhibited :D That has to be one of the most exciting thing ever!

And here's a little luck for all those lists ;P

oh wow that's great! I'm so jealous :giggle: seeing as I'm a proffessional bum at the moment! I hope you enjoy it n_n the metrocentre M&S is lovely

Um...for fabrics i would say pretty much anything for the overskirt but for the petticoats and such I'd use a fine net, you can get it for 99p a metre in John Lewis in like a million colours! I could find you some tutorials if that'd help n_n
